Well, moving ahead along with a few other projects. The bonnet parts have been reassembled, the light 'buckets' fitted and the lower nose added. All of the bumper mounting points have been removed as they won't be needed - no bumpers. I've also added filler to the locating gaps where the light glasses would fit as there won't be any chrome trims around the lights. More main body tub work next... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

A tiny bit more. The light openings have been sorted to fill the locating gaps for the chrome bezels - this won't have them. Also, a coat of primer to show where and what needs filling or sorting out. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

I've spent the last few days converting the coupe tail into a roadster. Fortunately, the outer wings are the same, and the chopped-off roof panel is just right to form the shape of the boot area. After that it will be filled, smoothed, and a mould taken so I can cast a resin part... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

The roof panel is just the right curvature for the boot lid so a basic shape has been cut ready to fit into place. Lots of gaps to fill and then filler to add. The black cross support will be removed... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Still plodding along sorting the roadster tail end... It's almost ready and I'm hoping to make a 1st rubber mould in a few days time, so I can get a casting to see how it looks. As a break from filler and sanding I'm working on the boot interior and lower pan. Lots of scratch parts as obviously the actual kit has no boot interior. Card templates, plastic sheet and off we go. There will be a big fuel tank in the boot eventually as well as plenty of 'tea staining' and grime. Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

I've been bashing on with the roadster tail and have now got it reasonably sorted. Lots of filler, lots of sanding. I'll give it a final once-over and then get a mould made. Hopefully a first casting shortly... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

I've taken a moulding from the roadster tail end and will hopefully get a resin piece later today or early tomorrow. In the meantime I've made the fuel tank that sits on the boot floor. On the actual car it's sitting on thick sponges and held in with bungee elastics! So - the model is the same. The tank is deliberately splotchy paint as it needs to get a lot of weathering done to it... roymattblack attached the following image(s):
