Cannon
I have used milliput to fill the original hole as well as my new eye hook holes. I have decided to change the eyebolts I am using and the new ones are smaller, there is a tiny hole in the milliput for these. its left overnight to Harden.
Display base
I have cut out a small section of deck to add some grating interest.
The bulwarks have been painted read. I have done my best to match the bright red of Endeavour
The grating frame has been assembled the grating is just dry fitted at the moment

the grating edge was painted black before being glued into place. the grating give a wash in watered down wood glue and then sanded down
cannon parts were test fitted prior to painting fit is all good.
while paint is drying the cap rail was cut to length and painted black
the cannon carriage is now assembled with black bolt heads painted onto the carriage frame and trucks and the ends the two brass bar spacers are also painted black.
cannon is just test fitted at the moment

A bit more progress
the eye hooks have been installed for the rigging
The Axel block and tackle has been installed, I am not displaying my cannon run out, all will become clear soon.
The carriage was then rigged up, the cannon will be added after for ease of access when rigging up the blocks
A ripple block has been added to the deck, again all will become clear soon 
some more work has been done on the capping rail.
