If you are unsure of what screws are to be used for each stage then look at the official build for clarification.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I'm afraid the official build (issue 70 and 74) is lacking in this case.

Clearly flanged 2.3 x 6mm screws should be used?

My previous answer was about stage 78 and if you look screw sizes are mentioned 13 times in the official build for that stage.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

My mistake.

I'm afraid the official build (issue 70, 74 and 78) is lacking in this case.

Issue 86 of the offical build uses "flanged 2.3 x 6mm self-tapping screw"
when joining the panels.

It seems the magazine and official build pages are a little inconsistent in this case.

The screws to be used in stage 70 are mentioned 9 times and 7 times in stage 74 in the official build for clarification the designers only called for unflanged black self tapping screws to be used in the assembly of the rear body plates.

If you have used flanged screws to assemble these parts you will not have enough of these screws to assemble the front body panel which uses these screws for added support where more items are fitted to that panel.

The rear body panel is fixed directly to the body metal frame so the frame gives that assembly all the support that is necessary.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I think you're mistaken.

I still have flanged screws left and it appears that more are coming with the final panel in issue 85.

With 16 issues left those screws should be allocated for a future assembly in the build.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

The build guide up to 93 only mentions the flanged screws for the ultrasonic sensor in the front panel and joining the front panels together.

Time will tell, but i suspect there will be a few of these flanged screws left over.

There will be screws left over because many of the issues have spare screws provided in them.
Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

That's certainly a positive to this build - i'm finding on average 1 spare of each type with every delivery of screws.
