Nice to see you back on this Roy, Really nice progress. What did you use to paint the "metal' parts for the suspension and hubs ? they are very shiny
Best regards Keith

Thanks chaps.
The shiny parts are painted using a Halfords chrome rattle can over grey primer. It gives a nice semi-chrome finish.

Sorry Keith. The Porsche is on the back burner at present I'm afraid. At the moment I can't get much enthusiasm for it but I'll get back to it at some point.

Ok, a little bit done today on the Porsche. Basically just fitting the engine - which was a TOTAL pain as I've somehow mislaid the entire bag of screws, nuts, bolts etc. After an age searching, I went through my tin of umpteen partwork spares and found ones that would fit. Next the stabiliser bar was assembled and added. So far, so good... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Just seen this build Roy. It’s looking the dogs! I have this kit in my stash (and I was lucky enough to pick up a certain detail set at a reasonable price years ago for a reasonable price) so your work is inspirational.

Roy this is a very intereisting wip. I just noticed a point. The exhaust manifold flange on cylinder (the oval shape) i think is black painted like the exhaust tube. I just bought a turbo keyring to modify to have the turbo unit for my 911 project. Collection active: Lotus 97T, Audi Quattro A2, Vw Maggiolino '60
