Thanks for the thoughts guys, head is well and truly down. There is no such thing as an old bold hero. To be fair I am in the RAF and as such I fix my Tornado aircraft from the relative safety of the airfield. Regards Bob Builds in progress

A very nice 1/4 scale R/C Mitsubishi A6M Zero flown in beautiful surroundings and with some lovely background music. Engine tickover sounds quite realistic too !! Note the cockpit detail and also the wing rivet detail - lovely stuff !! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pPq5kyepUI
Enjoy !! Kev

Check this video out and you will know exactly why you have to build this model from DeAgostini !!! Shows the working lights, including one on the instrument panel and even has a rotating prop with a sound module of the real engine, though I'm not sure if that comes with the UK release ?? Good stuff and I can't wait to get my teeth into this !! http://www.youtube.com/u...0bb#p/a/u/0/5yx1iQss3OQ
Enjoy !! Kev

MWG wrote:Kev the link is not working Hi Mike, I know, it seems that none of the links here on MS are working at the moment, they don't highlight in green as they do normally. All of the links in my 'Cyber Garage' A-Z are exactly the same and the same for links from other members as well. Maybe the IT guys are messing about with maintenance on this site, I have PM'd Tom about it !! If you copy and paste the link from my post into your search engine, it should get you there, as I've tried it and it seems to work OK that way. Hopefully the links on here will be reactivated soon as the Zero guy has two more I want to put up !! Kev

Awesome link Kev, though I think the prop motor and sound module are modeller additions rather than part of the kit content

Hi Tom, Yeah, I think that they could be personal add-ons by the builder as well, or maybe something that is available ONLY in Japan ?? Have a good look at these other two videos by the same guy and in the short one which just shows the prop/sound module working on his bench, you will notice he seems to unpack it from a separate box, which does show 'DeAgostini' on the box, so I am more inclined to say that it is an extra that DeAg are providing over in Japan maybe ?? I also think that it must be a different engine from the original metal kit one, as it looks like a complete unit in grey plastic and the rearmost cylinders look like they are half moulded into the firewall, whereas the metal ones in the kit are complete cylinders front and back, so I think it is almost certainly something of an aftermarket option in Japan. Also in the first video that I put up in my previous post, you will note that he has the engine running within the airframe and ALSO has a highly detailed engine next to it on the bench, which I think is the original kit engine and he intends to display that next to the aircraft ?? http://www.youtube.com/u...0bb#p/a/u/1/4tkJ5Lg16rE
and this one : http://www.youtube.com/u...0bb#p/a/u/2/eFUZ9fv83C8
Good stuff eh ?? Can't wait to build this even if the prop doesn't turn !! Kev
