Many thanks for looking in chaps, and the kind comments. To give a bit of size comparison, the Lotus 49 sitting on top is the Tamiya 1/12 model... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Thanks chaps. A little more here - some electrical gubbins on the top and then the roll hoop over it... Gearbox and parts of the rear suspension next while I wait for black leather to arrive so I can complete the seat. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks for those of you peeping in. Comments are appreciated. The seat is now covered in leather but still needs seat belts which I'll have to sort out. The gearbox section was basically just a big plain blob so I've added various ridges and umpteen bolts cast in resin. To be fair, this part is very much hidden in the end under the rear body but it just needed a touch of bling. There are a good few pipes and bits of wiring that I'll need to scratch. The upper arms also need repainting. Lower suspension arms and shock absorbers will need to be scratch made as they are missing from the box of bits... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

You're right Roy, that is a big blob..... .. Still sure it'll look great by the time you're finished with it.... Better not say the build is growing...it's big enough..... .. Great work as usual.... Regards Alan

Thanks for peeping in Alan. I've checked that the gearbox will actually go back on the car - after a LOT of fiddling, it does. It will be held on with four hefty brass rods through the body rear - which is 6mm thick - and Araldited in place. Some of the missing parts have been added. Gear change linkage on the gearbox and several oil feed pipes and a slush pump. None of this was on the original model. I've also added the rear light and wiring. There are still more pieces to add but at least it's looking a little busier around the back than it would have done originally. Also - another 'scale' picture... The gearbox beside a Tamiya 1/20 Williams... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Thanks for the comments chaps. Much appreciated. I've made the seat harness and now the seat and dash is fixed back in the car. It was a nightmare getting the two parts in and fitted together as they are both actually bigger than the opening in the cockpit... All sorted now though. roymattblack attached the following image(s):
