Lovely work as always Malc, to your usual very high standard and always very neat and tidy too! Looking very realistic and with your added extras you are moving this model up to another level.
Very well done. Loving your home made engine jig as well - simple, but a very effective and practical solution!

Thanks for looking in Guys, and all the encouraging comments.
I've finished a lot of the engine parts and been doing some trial fitting. The oil piping runs up into the tank attached behind the "dashboard". RM1 attached the following image(s):

The original hosing for the water cooling had perished so I used heat shrink over a wooden dowel to make the parts. There's still the "S" piece to the radiator to form and I'm putting copper pipes from the lower cylinder inlet flanges to the radiator.RM1 attached the following image(s):

The clutch is exposed to the elements ! and seems to be a spring loaded piece that is retracted off the back of the Flywheel assembly by the conical clutch ring. There's no spring shown in the kit so I'll wind a wire for some extra detail.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Excellent work all round Malc, beautifully put together and building up into a real museum piece.
Stunning work, very well done!

Thanks for all the comments guys. I've been a bit slack on this build but managed to get some work done on the floorboards. I've used a self adhesive sheet of wood veneer and cut strips for the planks following the various widths of the wood effect on the plastic floor and dashboard. There are a couple of Brass ferules that will fit around the bosses to replicate the instruments. I finished it with a light coat of a dark oak varnish but not enough for a gloss finish. Looks great. MUCH better with a real wood floor.

That is very impressive. Just finishes it off beautifully. Mark

Thanks, Mark, Roy. The wood makes a great difference. Very pleased with the result. Malc.

The exhaust is pretty basic but forming the brackets to hold the main pipe at the correct angle was a little tricky. I haven't decided on the paint finish for the pipes yet. Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Got the gearbox/transmission section completed and can now start on the final assembly of the chassis. RM1 attached the following image(s):

The exposed clutch seems to be a block pushed up against the end of the flywheel and retracted by a conical slip ring. The linkage to retract the clutch ring has been added and I've made a simple spring by winding copper coated wire.RM1 attached the following image(s):
