Ive finally got around to cutting the gun ports. Was so paranoid that I marked up, erased and marked up again at least 6 times until I was happy.

As I'm doing the 28 month build, there's a bit of a lull at the moment until I get the sapelle planks for the hull, which I hope to receive in the next installment, whch is my number 6 due in 3-4 weeks!

I'm going to add some LED lighting too, to help pass the time.

Hi Mate,

Looking awesome upto now.. Keep it up,
Just a quick note, When u pin the planks knock the pins in half way to hold the plank then remove the pins and trenail or get brass pins as the A/L pins are steel and when u sand the planking down it discolours round the pin giving a dark area. If you can try not to use any pins. Look on my build you will see how I planked without pins and the way I clamped the planks down.

Happy Building Chris...
On the bench

Hi all

I've been away from model making for a while but have lately picked it up again. The following are some pics of my Surpise and where I am at the moment.

Still got a bit of cleaning, painting and some remedial work but am quite happy with the way things are going.
