OK so I've added locknut detail to the radiator cowling  ( loads more of that to add ) added the advance/ retard mechanism and the low tension leads to the coil and to the distributor (still to make the condenser)

Hi all I'm really enjoying this kit, fit is great, no flash at all( I've seen some bad reviews of this kit, all I can say is they haven't built it or are not modelers)

It's looking really great Ken. Keep it coming.
I know I'm mainly a 1/8 (or even bigger) chap these days but I do enjoy a bit of 1/12 stuff (my current Porsche nightmares) and I'm even tempted to get this one.Love

I'd love to see what you do with it mate.
One thing I've noticed, personally I would be worried about driving a car with mechanical brakes rather than hydraulic.

Thanks captn

More done to the Alfa, the underneath is finished so on to the top ( those nuts are 1.4mm the hole I drilled in them is 0.3mm) the drilling was easy threading that wire through the hole was another story.

I'm kind of wishing I hadn't started it, on the other hand it does make quite a difference to the overall look.

The exhaust is not fixed I just wanted to see how it looked.

The radiator to bulkhead brace I made out of copper wire the thing supplied in the kit is so flimsy (the only bad bit in the whole kit.

Hello ken.

Looking good but I see what you mean about the bonnet fit.
It looks very much like the same problem with the bigger Pocher kit - the rad cowl at the front is too far forwards.
In the Pocher kit, the fix is quite easy but a real PITA.

The engine needs moving back so the whole rad and cowl has room to move back and then the bonnet fits.
As the Pocher is almost entirely screws/bolts, it's not difficult, just time consuming.

It looks as if this kit has the same problem.
It makes you wonder if they used a Pocher kit as a 'template' for this one...

I agree, you've made a good job of that Ken and in my opinion is clearly your best build yet. With regards to the engine covers not sitting down properly, it wouldn't be something simple like those HT leads that loop up off the top of the distributor ending up with the covers resting on them would it?

Thanks Kevin, no its the rad cowl and the pin holes for the hinges.
Started some weathering (don't want it to look showroom condition) I also don't want it to look like an old jalopy. Looking at the pics looks like the rear hinge has broken free (again)
