Thanks Gerrit, Hans, Alan BigGrin

Just a very small update while the camera was out-

I have just finished the bulwark linnings and quarter deck linings both sides - didnt think i had the will to do more linings after the first hundred or so but I got through it.

BTW, does anyone know if these linings are the same red ochre colour of the others?
Regards
Steve

Cabin walls done, decided to go for ebony and oak stain, i think it looks a little more worn and matches the deck better - I didnt like the varnished walnut look - I know this is not accurate but I dont mind that, Im just going with what i like. I have also placed the cabin further back as per Jase's build instruction and I know a few others have done this too, also got the idea of the white beams from Jase tooBigGrin

Bit of a slow week but finished the Poop deck and the quarter deck opening -
No problems encountered with this bit although cutting down the stern bulwarks was pretty scary!
I think its cutting the bow bulwarks next and then capping rails all round.

Finally finished issue 60 (apart from the cannon ball holders at the bow). So now im officially at the half way point, well a little past half way as i have also painted the stripesBigGrin

I found these capping rails tricky to curve but managed it in the end-

Quarter deck capping rails -

and bow capping rails - i will be filling and repainting the joins at this part later -

All masked off and ready for stripes!

And here she is now with some touch-ups to come later, but overall Im happy with it. I may matt varnish the black though as i think the admiralty "Dull Black" paint is a little too glossy for my liking.

More to follow soonBigGrin
