Hi all,
Im letting the side down here and have not fitted a part since April ( issue 36 ) and now have a huge box of bits, can not seem to motivate my self to finish planking the hull, and im frightend to touch it if im not in the right frame of mind. Just been looking at all the build diaries which are all very impressive. I have moved all my bits down to our caravan in Chichester which we visit weekends, and now the winters drawing in i am determined to get back into the swing of things when im down there, so hopefully i can post some more pictures soon. Keep up the good work all.

Hi all, It's been a while, I have been so busy can't seem to find time to get back into the swing of things. Your builds are looking very impressive. I still havn't finished planking the hull, about 10 rows each side todo before I can get to the interesting part again, I,ve been looking at it for several months and have a huge box of bits , just need to get over this hurdle. Keep up the good work. Ferret

Hi tf5600, When i started building my first wooden ship many years ago it was a solid balsa hull,I did not have the guidance nor anyone to turn to for help.Your model like mine will take a lot of patience to complete, back then I can remember I was allways anxious to get my models finished not knowing then that building a wooden ship can be a take time dedication, patience, and endurance, not to memtion ships terms? So tf5600 be paitent and most of all be willing to stay with your ship and complete it.The next one you build will bring even more satisfaction, and most of all being with this fourm you are just one click a way from some very skilled craftsman. We all need to see more pictures of your build so keep sending in. Regards tf64. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Good clean job there Ferret, by taking your time the job gets done better. Keep up the good work and the pics coming. As I'm sure your are aware there is tons of info and help on this forum as Trevor has said. The main thing is that you enjoy doing it and bask in success that it brings.
