arpurchase wrote: looking good Hi AR, Thanks for looking in, I`m just hoping that the shaping is ok. Have held a plank around as many angles as I can find and it looks ok, may have to make very minor adjustments when planking but nothing serious. Hi All, This is a short, all be it an overdue update. Work, back injury, holiday etc, etc, Oh and funds , but ordered complete supply of new wood strip for the hull planking from CMB yesterday and it arrived this morning. WOW Good Service Eh . Well steamed a couple of strips and pinned in place to see how good the hull shaping was and this is the results. The first and second pics show how flat the first plank lays to the shape. Now due to the size of this model, to get the planks to lay as near flat as possible to each other, a small chamfer is required on the top edge. The third pic shows a second plank in place, both planks are only pinned at this point while I check for hull shape and plank fit. Next step is to check other side for shape and fit. If that goes to plan then it should be full steam ahead for a complete planking session. Woo Hoo Advise and/or comments welcome Regards delboy271155 (Derek) delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Regards Alan Hi Alan, Thanks for looking in, as you rightly say this is certainly not a bin job now. Will be interesting when the different colour woods start appearing. Have got some time to spend on this as waiting for delivery of 34-37 of the SoTS and that`s not due for 10-12 days, while the vic is on hold until I have all the keel and rib parts to have one big building session.
