Virtually complete now... A few minor bits plus the exhaust tailpipes to add. A really fun project and I'm definitely going to build another one at some stage. Hope you like it. Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Hello Roy,
As promised the other day, some photos (dust and all) of my ‘Barn Find’ Revell/Monogram 1:8 ‘E’ Type Jaguar Coupe.
On the whole it isn’t too bad and I think it is a fairly easy renovation? Apart from a cracked windscreen, some small front suspension issues - just missing kingpins I think but I haven’t looked properly at it yet even after owning it for ten years! - a missing outer door handle, which is easy to replicate in resin and a few detached parts, all it really needs is a bit of back engineering and strip down, a re-spray and some TLC with lots of extra detail scratch building and it will be good to go!! Comes with four brand new tyres but unfortunately, no valid MOT!!
It even came with quite a nice home-made ‘gravelled’ display plinth!!
Not bad for an £8 car booty purchase ten years ago, given watch they fetch nowadays!?
As I say, I may still do the renovation, just need to find the time and inclination?
Do you happen to know Roy, if these kits came with a spare wheel and tyre, as my model doesn’t have one with it and yet there seems to be a large open space behind the seats where one might be fitted?
Regards,
Kev
