ISSUE 47 TRANSOM PLANKING I have now trimmed and sanded into shape the planked area, the width at the Hull is 3/4 of an an inch wider than the build instructions, but is more in line with Sidney Parkinsons (The expeditions draughtsman)drawings. I will now sand the surface of the planks and then in due course second plate the area in maple (2mm x 0.5mm)This is how she looks now comments welcome :- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUE 48 and 49 In these issues we have the hinges we we promised from our previous short delivery. The sheathing planks are again Ayous strips 250 x 5 x 0.6mm, I will be looking to buy real wood (Walnut?)planks So far we have received 70 strips of Ayous over the 2 issues and just maybe this is for the top of the Hull, because I see we will receive more Ayous sheaths next week, I will keep you posted. We have also received other sizes of Ayous wood and Belaying cleats. Quite a few Hoods on here already and apart from Mike's upcoming Tiger build and Jacksparrow's long overdue update on his build there are NO tigers on here, so it would make a nice addition to the forum methinks. Please ... pretty please ?? Kev
