Next step were the fenders. I wanted to make them a little bit more descreet than the instructions suggest - also i wanted no gaps to the hull. So i had to adjust some of the wriggles that were in the way. Used 2x1mm walnut fo the finish.
As often i was like - oh well i`ll just quickly make those fenders - which then turned out to be a 4h-job!!
Who needs sleep anyway? :)DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

Thanks guys!
Again a small update as i completed all the fenders. Again i deviated from the instructions regarding the front fenders and built them more straight and not running along the curve of the hull.DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

Yes, you're right, they should be straight. I wonder why they did it that way.
Nice work as ever.

Thanks guys!
I was informed that with the start of the new forum sometimes in fall - threads with those damn photobucket-icons instead of the pics will be deleted.
So this is also a heads-up for all of you who are also hit by the PB-issue!
To prevent the deletion i edited all my former posts in this thread and uploaded the pics directly.
As you can imagine this was a pain in the ass to do - and i only re-uploaded the most important pics.
But it`s done after all - and i hope there will never occur a problem regarding the pics any more!
Also i wanted to remind you that with the link in my signature you can see all the pics i ever made of this build.
OK guys! Now for my other threads! Greetings, Walter

Hi guys!
The wood for the cap strips finally arrived - so i gave it a go.
I started with the forcastle. As mentioned before i wanted the cap-strips to follow the curve of the hull (other than in the instructions)- also i used 8x1mm strips of pear-wood, as i want to achieve a more slim look.
Wasn`t easy to bend those strips but with hot water and a soldering iron i finally succeeded!
The painting will be finished after all the cap strips are mounted.DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

Thanks Alan! Next up was the beakhead bulkhead.
Because of the my modifications to the forecastle bulwarks my beakhead bulkhead was about 1 cm less high than in the instructions - so again i had to modify the parts.
Also i used 3D-printed parts for the decorations.DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter
