Excellent job there Alan. It certainly makes a difference when you start adding meat to the skeleton. Well done neat and clean. It does get easier as you go along. Have now completed 9 rows of the hull planking and hopefully will fit the final 10th row tomorrow as mentioned in issue 20.... As in Mr T's build I too found I needed to induce a taper to the stern planks, tapered row 8 and 9. Row 10 should finish it nicely at the correct position.... As well as the taper I also bevelled the lower edge of the plank being fitted to ensure it sat just right.... Also noticed a slight gap between two planks on the bow, the gap looks bigger than it really is and am confident it will fill as the bow is sanded..... .. Overall, I am very pleased with how the planking is coming together..... Happy building friends.... Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Latest update... Decided to continue with the planking as described in issue 21.... Started by tapering planks for the top of the hull using the Davids plane....quite straightforward, also created a slight bevel on the inside edge. Gandale attached the following image(s):

Have one more row to add to the hull and that will be issue 21 complete... tomorrow's task I hope. Then I am going to tackle the stern and tidy that up.... Gandale attached the following image(s):

Just for those that may be interested.... I have just changed my Avetar, it is actually the insignia of the Chindets, special forces who operated deep behind enemy lines in Burma during WW2. It holds a special place in my heart as my dad, who is now 91, served with them and is proud of what he achieved ......
