Looking good Mike despite the obstacles, you seem to have beaten bad product and made the best of it by making changes. Nothing wrong with that as afar as I can see. Well done. Keep it up. ISSUE 51 In this issue we receive Sapeli wood sheathing strips, having now seen this item I will use this wood its good for the job. The swivel guns are wayout of scale, and the items supplied as handles are not good,I have sourced an alternative swivel gun The first photo shows my new swivel gun, with brass parts for the mounts and handles, the second photo shows the swivel gun supplied by Eaglemoss and the smaller one is my preffered gun. Questions and comments welcome Mike MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUE 53 Good news Team I have matched as near as possible the yellowy/gold colour for the top of the hull The first photo shows the Acrylic artists Ink I finally purchased, the brand is FW it is a Rowney product, It has a dropper system, or you can use it in an air brush, or just brush it on. In the first photo, you will also see a length of Ayous sheathing untreated, and a length treated with the ink ( I just brushed it on ) :- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUE 53 The next photo shows the treated plank, put vertically on the Eaglemoss Magazine page showing the sheathing process, after the planks in the magazine have been coloured. This shows how close I have been able to match the colour(also using the Anatomy of the ship ENDEAVOUR) The colour of the ink is Indian Yellow cost approx £5.30 (Hobby craft sell it at the same price as art shops) The beauty of this product is it shows the grain of the wood. I am experimenting with the blue ink as well Comments and questions welcome Regards Mike MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.
