HULL COLOURS As you all know from my previous posts I have been looking at a different medium to colour the second planking than paint and I chose ink,Ink in my opinion shows the grain much better than paint, I published the Orangy yellow colour some weeks ago, now I have found the blue for the planks below the gunwales. It is Rowney Acrylic Rowney Blue For the Wales and anchor linings I will use black ink. I may use ink for all the deck fittings, but I have not made up my mind yet. comments and Questions welcome. STERN MODIFICATION Hi Team I decided to change a few things with the stearn of the ship, as you know I have the Anatomy of the ship Endeavour, the vessal did not have 5 windows at the rear, only 4 windows, and the centre was covered by woodwork as it covered the Rudder Tunnel and was a sham. First up I made two new stern pieces from my Mahogany I had purchased and cut holes through the wood so that the windows when fitted would have depth:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

STERN MODIFICATION Next I retained the stern front plate and fitted the windows at the rear of this plate (It is a good idea to retain the brass lugs on the window frame for fixing on the plate, otherwise they may fall through):- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

STERN MODIFICATION So now the windows from the front have depth. Next we prepare the centre sham, I cut a piece of Mahogany and fixed it into the rear, and taking the centre window I cut out all the spars and fitted the remaining window frame in the centre:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

STERN MODIFICATION I had some brass beading and I decided to use this instead of wood battons,I think it looks better and more authentic:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

STERN MODIFICATION Well Team here is the finished result,I do not know if I will use blue on the stern or just varnish it. Hi Mike, i think that this looks alot better, just what i was thinking about doing, as for the acetate i think that might work depending upon how transparent it is with no real interior. no doubt i will find out when i finally get to doing this myself regards current builds
