Good morning from 'The Dockyard'. Just a short update this week which sees the addition of two step ladders to the rear of the lower deck of my 1/48 scale modified conning tower. I initially thought making these would be a '5 min job'  , but due to the fact that they were small and fiddly, i ended up restarting after the first attempt. While building the Mk2 version I had to remedy the odd breakage or two during construction, meaning that these step ladders actually took me three evenings to get right. I used 1.0mm square plastic strip for the uprights and 1.0mm diameter round rod for the rungs. As I wanted them to sit vertically, I had to spend a bit of time filing and trimming the bottom supports of the step ladders to accommodate the tapered profile of the lower deck sides. The step ladders are 20mm long and 6mm wide. The attached photo shows both ladders prior to fitting.
