Hi Kev and thanks for looking in, I really enjoy the weathering and detailing! Next step of the track weathering is coming along now.

So here we are with the next update, tracks are now finished and they are fitted to the model! I can now start on the weathering of the upper and front and rear hull! Dust and mud applied and dry brushing done. Inside and outside of the tracks with dry brushed pigment. And finally the tracks fitted.

That is a fantastic well used look. I am reading and reading lots of material so hopefully when I start to use pigments I will get a half decent finish

I think this is your best ever attempt at weathering tank wheels and tracks Daran, you're normally very good at this kind of thing, but this is the best so far and it can't get any better than that - or can it!?
I'd say the colour of the earth and dust looks just about perfect for summer on the Russian steppes - it wouldn't look out of place around Kursk and Prokhorovka that's for sure!!
Well done my friend, suberb job all round, love it!!

Hi Mark and thanks for looking in and your comment. I find this is the real fun part, taking a pristine build, being a big kid and mucking it all up!!

Lovely work as always Daran and certainly moving on on at a quickening pace now my friend - would that be due to a desperate need for some 'Leopold' building space maybe?!

Wow this kit looks great, I think its certainly something I would like to build in the future. Your painting and weathering effects are amazing. Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Thanks for looking in and your comment kenjara, it has been a fun kit to build, a few fit issues but nothing serious!

Well we have had a slight hiccup!! I had a feeling the plastic hinges on the rear panel were not man enough, and I was right!! So after some head scratching and raiding the mother in laws dolls house parts box, I found some brass gate hinges. And with a little trimming and some plisticard, I came up with this!! Now I know its not perfect, or historically correct, but it does the job, and by the time I have painted, weathered and splashed some mud about, no one will ever know!!!
