BigGrin Hi All

Pack 6 arrived this morning so here's the next instalment and it has the carpeted interior that gives a good impression of how big this baby will be. First off its the engine assemble that I completed last time, then it was a start on the interior parts 1st part being the rear window assembly this included the fitting of 4 eye bolts held in place by plastic clips easy to fit without any problems and lastly for this part was the fitting of the rear window glass [ If you only handle it at the ends where the screws will go in it prevents getting finger prints on the glass].
Next was the centre gear box housing where Various switches, light, footguard and centre console was added.
This months pleasant suprise was the cockpit floor with its carpet, just its size gives you an impression of how big this car will be. The centre console is added first [ mine went in with little adjustment] then the hand brake and footrest pieces which concludes this months parts. I have also fitted the rear window assembly to the cockpit as I think its safer in position rather than as a floating assembly awaiting fitting. More soon.

Regards

Hi Andy

You mentioned in your pack 5 post that you laquered your seats as per the instuctions, I see this is also mentioned in the official build diary (I'm at work on nights so haven't the manual to hand), I was wondering what you used for yours? I'm guessing I can just use a gloss coat which I have a choice of either Vallejo or Future as was used for the exhaust pipes

Lovely work as always Andy, this Lamborghini Countach looks like a very nice model with the standard of parts from DeAg being well above average when compared to other partwork model publishers?!!

Very nice indeed. Cool ThumpUp

Nice job Andy. I had pack4 arrive today, just sorting out some primer for the exhaust pipes. The interior looks cool, can't wait for mine. I have just started on the Shelby Mustang, this looks like a great kit too. I am now pondering purchasing the Senna Mp4, my wife will probably wont be to happy if I do.

regards
Jon

BigGrin Hi Dave

I used Clear on my seats but make sure the seats are given a good wash in soapy water 1st or you will get that water on a freshly waxed car effect. Hope this helps.

BigGrin Hi Jon

Thanks for looking in and your comments, she certainly is a stunner when you hold the parts in your hands and the Shelby looks a great kit best of luck with her. As for the Senna car Im biased it comes from in my opinion the best era of F1 cars and is a great build. Hope i dont get you into trouble with the wife .

BigGrin Hi All

Pack 7 arrived this morning, not a lot to do this month but it all makes the car look better. Firstly it was the fitting of the two window side sills, I did find here that the removal of the flash along the lower edges I had on my parts enabled a better fit, then the rear view window assembly was fitted in place. Next it was to make up the front wheel, after that a start was made of adding components to the front compartment and finally the spare wheel was assembled and placed in position. More soon.

BigGrin Hi Dave

Thanks for looking in and your comments, it was the other side for me that didnt want to fit but as I said above along the bottom edge away from the paint lower edge there was a small amount of flash from the moulding process I removed this and got a better fit.
