Hi all thanks for your kind comments, much appreciated. The build moved on a bit.the bottom now got wheels and suspension, the wheel guards made but not painted yet.painted up round the front.brass rail added.headlight done.couple large photo gloss decals glued on.these put on by applying the border adhesive to the model first, rather than the decal.glad I reprinted these onto photoglossy paper.the kit ones are pretty flat.and lifeless. Did have to remake the cross supports.and wheel guard supports as the kit ones to short.it ain't perfect but still making a rather nice model.cheers and happy moddelling mick. BigGrin BigGrin

Hi all small update on this one. The roof now on, an started the planks on it.all tabs filled with wood as did not want filler getting through to inside. The first of the handrail posts in.seats started.handrails started.the ally skin curved round humbrol paint tin, as found this to be correct radius. All slots in roof needed opening out.best do this before fitting roof.cheers and happy moddelling mick. BigGrin BigGrin

Hi all another update on this one, first of all needed to make bending jig for upper wood surround to lower part of stantions, as there nothing to bend against, just the stantions themselves, and being white metal would have not taken the strain involved. Soak all day, leave clamped all nite.also needed to chamfer the top of these to clear balls on stantions.so eh sit flat on stantions. The handrails to stairs now complete. A right fiddly job, which involved some foul language at times Crying.the front signs needed reshaping at back, to get round stantion balls again.and to get gap for boards in there.the netting also needed cutting round each stantion ball, top and bottom again so would sit on rails, flat between balls.another fiddly job.plus added 2 destination boards to one side.coming along now end least in sight now.when painted the 126 parts for seats doh.cheers and happy moddelling mick. I think you've done cracking job on this model, it's really good to see something different.
Man he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be
Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
