BigGrin Hi Dave

Nice work as for the tracks build the lower section first [ the part that touches the ground ] then let it dry, Then place that section in place on the wheels . Now add a track piece at a time until you have track going around the front upper wheel , now do the same for the rear upper wheel. Once you have track fitted to and around the upper front and rear wheels it should stay in place on its own. Next from the front add more tracks working your way back to the rear wheel and dont forget to add the sag as in the picture. Once you get to the rear and the last joint do not glue it yet as you will need to remove the track ready to paint it.
There is another option you could just buy the metal Friul tracks belowDrool LOL Love LOL Blink

Very nice work on the etch!!BigGrin BigGrin ThumpUp
I use the liquid glue for those types of track. Plave the links together and run some glue with a fine brush in the joints. after a few minutes the tracks will have stuck together enough that they wont fall apart but will bend at the joints. You can now mold the tracks around the sprockets and wheels and leave the to dry. I do mine in sections, bottom first, then add one side then the other, once dry I then do the top so I can work on the sag between the wheels adding a link or two if needed to make a complete set.BigGrin BigGrin

Well I have been back at the etch again today.

The top of the turret has had all the little etch discs attached, feel free to count them!! Most of these will more than likely be covered up as its a pretty busy turret when its finished.

It would be cruel to expect you to count the discs so I will tell you there are 93 on the turret, yes 93! Each hole is the exact size of the disc, so after cutting of the fret each one of the 93 discs have to have the fret joins very carefully filed away to get a snug fit.

Thanks for the comment Steve, they certainly did take a bit of work Blink

A little bit more etch done, the turret is really starting to look busy now and still lots more to add.

A lot of concentration was needed to make the boxes Blink

Does anyone else think the turret looks like a face LOL

Thanks for all the nice the comments BigGrin

There is still lots of photo etch to be added BigGrin

I added a smoke dispensers now as well as the rear hatch and a cover over some sort of scope near the front. More discs added to the inside and outside of the hatch BigGrin

I am now trying to decide if I want to leave this hatch open seeing as I have put discs on the inside, there is also a grab handle and hatch latch that have been added and inside there is a control panel, the rest of the interior is non exsistant.

There are nine parts to make up the hatch before you put the PE discs on Blink

By the time the turret is finished there will be quite a lot of detail on it

I decided to prime the hull of the tank after fitting the cables, it was done using Badgers new Stynlrez surface primer. It does give a very nice finish Cool

A few more bits have been added to the hull, you will also see that I have gone with the kit barrel, this was due to losing one of the small PE frets that are used for the bands around the barrel Cursing The plastic turret detail isnt bad though, I did need to use a bit of filler on the join.

The turret is certainly starting to look busy

Have now added the commanders cupola and machine gun, these were made of up of lots of parts.

Not much more to add and will soon be ready for paint BigGrin

After doing some ready up and after recommendations on here I ordered a set of Fruil tracks yesterday and some Ultimate Weathring Products burnisher to try BigGrin

I did make a PE ammo box for the MG but unfortunately it had a bit of an accident and ended up squashed Crying so had to revert to the plastic one with a messy join near the lid.

Here are some pics of the turret so far and one of the instructions to show how many parts went into the commanders cupola and MG

Thanks Kev Blushing

Primed the turret today and the decided to start the camouflage, I do have some masks to aid with this and wasnt really too sure if I am using the correctly or not but the first colour seems to have come out ok.

As I understand camouflage isnt always perfect so will have to see how it turns out, if the masks dont work then I will try the blue tac method and just wing the pattern
