I don't know how I've missed this build but have just had a good look through it and you are doing some fantastic work - those seats look so realistic. Graeme

Those seats not only look great they also look so luxuriously comfortable. I am so amazed when i see what you have used (ie blinds cord in the engine bay) just how fantastic it looks. Real pleasure seeing this one taking shape. Happy Modelling

Really great job with the seats, yes they do look a bit odd but they also look like they would be quite comfortable

Yes, they really are 'odd' seats. I was very kindly invited to the Lister factory and given free run with a camera. That really is how they are, and were.
Considering that Lister are now offering a limited run of cars at a Million a pop, (UK) You'd think they'd update the seats. But no. That's how the original cars were, so the new ones are the same.
The car was a Le Mans winner - so who's complaining?

Many thanks guys. I've now cast the front wheels and tyres and sorted the bonnet so it clips in place. Camera flash is making the tyres look a bit glossy, and also as if they have deep treads - in reality neither is true. I'm currently making the rad header tank and then the radiators. Still quite a bit to do. Wheels just positioned with the car to get a first look at how the car is going to end up. The last pic has a 1/43 Lister sitting on top to get an idea of the size. The water and oil rads are now made and fitted, support stays added and the carb linkages, fuel lines and trumpets have been added. Engine area almost done. I also made new tyres. The first ones just didn't look right... Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Well... Really on the home stretch now. Rear suspension etc all sorted and the wheels are finally fitted permanently. Wheel spinners in place, front light 'buckets' made and fitted with the lamps and glasses. Badges in place. Steering wheel, screen, rear mirror, light details, gear lever all still to add - and probably umpteen things I haven't noticed. Getting there though... ...and the bodywork needs a SERIOUS de-fingermark and greasy mitts cleaning! Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

This build is absolutely superb. Kinda gets one revved up for the Jag, if it comes back from test! Tired, Old, and Cranky!

Hello chaps. All done. A really fun project from start to finish. Hard to believe this one has actually been going on for around 16 months. Lister cars in Cambridge couldn't have been more helpful and without them, this model wouldn't even exist. They helped me to make a model that is possibly the most 'accurate' one I've done. That isn't to say some parts have a bit of Artistic licence, but that's in the interests of not getting bogged down with stuff that is never seen. There are umpteen grotty fingermarks etc all over it that need cleaning off, along with a light polish. The last 2 pics are yours truly - just to give an idea of the size of this thing. I need a base and case so that's in the pipeline. For once, I have a model for ME. Thanks to those who were following my waffle and offered advice and support. Much appreciated. Right - back to the two C Type Jaguars... Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):
