Thanks for looking Garth. I'm enjoying doing it. I've a few tooth marks in the ribs through Smudge but the planking should cover them. Alan. Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!

Naughty Smudge. My cats get very curious about what I`m doing, but I learnt very early on not to leave them unattended. At least no permanent damage done. Keep up the good work. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Looking good Alan and I have to agree with Derek, pets and models can spell disaster together, they've been the cause of many of a models demise in the past..... ... Smudge has that look in his eye, the sly look.... ... Look forward to your next update.... Regards Alan

Thanks Derek and Alan for your comments. After each session I have to move the model to the floor and cover it up. They don't bounce very well. Alan. Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!

Added planking and cut and laid the cannon supports. Cut out the middle gun ports and entry ports. It is now starting to look like a ship and I am surprised at my progress up to now. NikonD60 attached the following image(s): Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!

Continued with the planking and cut the upper deck gun ports. Completed the planking of the upper deck as shown in Stage 31 of pack 4. I am now ready to start planking the lower hull. Being my first build, is there anything I should be aware of before I start? Alan. NikonD60 attached the following image(s): Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!

You're doing a great job Alan. I would say look closely at the official build at how to get round the first part gong under the stern which can be a little tricky. Take your time and am sure it'll all work out... Regards Alan

Thanks for your encouragement, I am really enjoying this project and wish I'd got into model building earlier (I'm 61). I'm watching the official build videos Alan and also reading the build discussions and other diaries to try and find out where I can come a cropper. I think if I take my time and follow the build carefully I should be ok. I seem to have plenty of spare planks for when I do make a mistake. Thanks again, Alan Today is the tomorrow you wished for yesterday!
