Thanks all for the comments and stopping by BigGrin

Although progress has been slow due to work being horrendously busy Blink some progress has been made. The engine dolly is almost complete, another couple of coats on the red and some very minor touch ups here and then there then to add a gloss coat and add a wash and perhaps some dry brushing.

Modelling time has been severely limited the last couple of months due to shortages at work and spending a lot of time working on preparation with Bath Railway station modernisation in readiness for electrification Blink

I have now made a little more progress with the F-16. I started by preparing the many engine parts. These were then primed with Alclad micro filler primer, this is the first time I have used it, its amazing stuff Blink, and clean up seems even easier than acrylics BigGrin

I then proceeded to cover this with Alclad Gloss Black base in preparation for the many metallics that will be used for the engine.

In between the primer and gloss coats drying I started on air ducts, as well as the front and rear wheel wells. Most of these are now ready to hit the paint booth.

Dave

All looking very nice.

Good to hear your views on the alclad because that is exactly what i have lined up for several of my loco components. Top colour being polished brass but been holding back a bit.

Glad you have found some time to get back to this one as its a lovely looking model.
Happy Modelling

Thanks all for your comments Cool

The engine will take a bit of time to finsih as I will be using lots of different shades of metallics on the small parts to give some variation
