Hi All, Please find the next retrospective update of my MG TD build. The attached photo shows a close up of one of the wire wheels. I purchased this set separately as the kit supplied wheels were of a later, steel wheel design. As I mentioned before these wheels are excellent with many parts to be assembled. Each wheel is made up of two, etched brass pieces separated by a spacer. Knock off hubs are then attached on the outside. Sticky Wickett attached the following image(s): Completed projects: 1/43 scale Bedford HA van / 1/43 scale MG TD sports car Current projects: 1/48 scale U-boat [U230] Future projects: 1/148 scale railway diorama / 1/50 scale R/C Volvo F89 logging truck / 1/148 scale Thunderbirds Fireflash

This photo shows the rear wheels in place. You have to cut the supplied brass rod, which acts as the axle, to the correct length. I also used M1.6 washers, glued on the inside of the wheel, to ensure they 'filled' out the arches by aligning them with the edge. As often the case with small car models, the wheels are sometimes set too far into the arch. Sticky Wickett attached the following image(s): Completed projects: 1/43 scale Bedford HA van / 1/43 scale MG TD sports car Current projects: 1/48 scale U-boat [U230] Future projects: 1/148 scale railway diorama / 1/50 scale R/C Volvo F89 logging truck / 1/148 scale Thunderbirds Fireflash

Front wheels fitted. Similar to the rear wheels, I used M1.6 washers to act as spacers, ensuring the wheels filled out the arch. Dashboard and steering wheel fitted to the body. I found images of the real speedometer and rev counter, resized them to scale, printed out and fixed in place with paper glue. Sellotape was cut to shape and fixed over the top of each dial to act as reflective glass.
