I don't know mate I think it's a good kit if built out of the box. The only thing I would say is if you use the kit screws paint them silver as they do stand out as black (tbh I don't know why poacher didn't do that) Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Hi all well (despite the gorgeous paint job on the kit parts) I've primed it ready for the new colour (I intend to leave this for at least a week to cure before adding the first coat of the two pack paint I have) Done some more to the engine Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Hi grumpy (sorry don't know your real name) I primed it with grey plastic primer then brushed mahogany stain on the joints and immediately dabbed it off and then blended it in at the edges before it dried then dry brushed copper colour at random places. Finally I used Uschi chrome metal powders and buffed it till I got the effect I wanted (if you apply the powders to gloss black you get very good chrome effects which are much harder wareing and far far easier than alclad IMHO. Is your model on here. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Hi all here is the next instalment. I got fed up with taking longer to find a part on the many sprues in this kit by looking for the small tab on each sprue with the letter I needed (I'm surprised I didn't think of this the 2 times I built the Traction Avant kit) I've written a large letter on each bag for which sprue is in it. I've made the starter motor terminal from a piece of whittled down sprue Added the oil cooler with the added layers and the banjo connector using Paul Coos detail adding info And the finished starter motor. Bit more weathering on the engine. All in all I'm quite pleased with the progress (even if it's glacially slooooow) Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Looking good Ken... I did the same - labelling the sprue bags - so much easier to find bits...
Keep it coming.
Roy.

Good tip there Ken with labelling those bags. I would not worry about the time its taking because this must be a kit to savor every part and assemble. That engine looks massive and very nicely detailed. Happy Modelling
