I have been forced to give up on one of my Jaguars because i don’t have a great deal of time to complete the two models I had intended to build, the reason is because Deagostini are so pathetic with their supply chain I cannot wait for ever for parts to arrive. It has now been 6 weeks since I have had parts. I have *made a decision to graft what I have built so far onto a fresh Revell kit to create a lightweight car. I have obtained a rear boot top which fits ver nicely with the kit part and I will create a mould for the rear of the roof and window . I have opened the boot lid and hinged, I can then build the fuel tank and trim out the boot, this will give me something to fill my time and obtain the parts for my grandsons model from my local newsagents

As said in my previous note(which had massive response!!!) I have given up my second Etype for the reasons given I have now got heavily involved in building a Jaguar Etype lightweight from a fresh Revell kit which I sourced from Belgium, as well as a resin rear end. I am having so much pleasure from this conversion and its so much nicer than the great lumps from Deagostini. I intended to graft the front end and engine from the kit I was building from Deag, but have decided to scrap that idea and to complete all in plastic and resin. I hope members of the forum don't think I m chickening out but I want to get on with my hobby not waiting for weeks on end for odd bits. For me in my condition I suppose choosing this type of modelling was a big mistake. I don't suppose my build of this model will qualify to be on this forum but we will see. If anybody is interested then I will continue with my efforts. Tegards Tony

Hi Tony, Sorry to hear you`re having issues with delivery. You don`t mention if you have contacted C/S to see if the parts have been sent, as they may have been (shall we say) lost in the post. Also there is the situation where you may not be able to start a newsagent collection at this point in the series. Please let me know if you have contacted C/S and who you spoke too (if you took a note) and if not I would advise you contact C/S to see if they can help. Should you still not get further with this issue, then please PM me with your account details and we`ll get it looked into. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
