Thanks Rich. I've finally got a roadster tail cast and cut open the boot lid. It's quite rough at the moment and will need a good deal of sanding and filling. I've done a bit of weathering on the fuel tank as the real car is still quite rough in many areas as the restorers didn't want to go too far with the work and only 'renovated' it as they put it, so the car is still very much quite scruffy in many areas. Lots to do on the tail before the parts are actually joined together. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks guys. I'm working away on the interior of the boot still and have added the fuel pipes and breather pipe. Also now added the back wall to the boot. There's not really much else in this part of the car so now it will be working on getting the boot lid fitted. Then the body halves can be put together. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Thanks for looking in Steve. I've made the air vent that is in the boot lid and it's now in place. Lots of smoothing and sanding needed and shortly the main rear halves will be joined together. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks Mick. The upper and lower rear body halves have now been glued together. I've added the weld seam that runs around the join on the model as it was there on almost All lightweight E Types. It wouldn't be seen on road cars as the chrome bumper fixes over it. Ok - the famous number 23 didn't have it... I know but I just like the look as it adds a little moor for the eyeballs to look at. More filling to do and then drilling the bumper fixing holes. Soon be time to fix the rear end to the main floor. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Many thanks Phil. The tail end and main body are now joined using epoxy as it's a weak area of the model. The entire rear end is held on at just the two joins behind the doors at the bottom. Inner rear bulkhead next. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Some of the rear end flimsy has been sorted by the addition of the rear floor and bulkhead. I measured the kit part and cut it down accordingly. Once glued in place it has added extra support to the tail end. Door shut ends and inner panels have been fabricated and fitted. Filler and smoothing next... roymattblack attached the following image(s):

I have added the bulkhead parts that the drop-head car has, and have also given the body a base coat of primer. This is to highlight areas that need filling and sanding. Also, the rear wheel arches need smoothing to create an even curve. roymattblack attached the following image(s):
