There is a discrepancy in the dimensions of the x wing. The advertisement says it is 20 inches long, but the downloadable promo says it is 74.4cm long which is 29 inches. 20 inches would be too short to me because my 1/24 x wing is almost 20 inches long. I know the efx x wing on which it is based is 20 inches long. Can you confirm the length of the x wing?

Its a typo that has been corrected, is indeed 29.3" The Spec info is also being updated with this info: Landing Gear & Mounting Point: Your X-wing features landing gear that can be fitted to display your model on a shelf or table. You can also remove the landing gear and attach a mounting bracket to display the X-wing in flight mode. (A wall mount bracket will be made available to purchase via the ModelSpace online shop). Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

chameleon wrote:I’d rather have had the mirrored base and stand. There’s no point having movable wings and light up engines if it’s landed on a diorama. It would be easy enough to create your own mirrored base, as the X-wing features landing gear that can be fitted to display your model on a shelf or table.

Just a reminder for anyone that might have the previous ‘market test’ issues 1-4., You should discard these parts as they have since been revised and may not be compatible with the ‘released’ collection build.
Not too long to wait until your first parts will be with you

WOW After watching this video, I think this is another kit for my list It really brings the model to life. Steve explains just how customisable this kit could be. Yep, definitely on the ‘wanted’ list

Some interesting facts about the X-Wing movie props that were made. The X-wing was first made by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Joe Johnston Drew and Colin Cantwell made models that became the final X-wing fighter in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. ILM also made miniatures in different sizes, with wing markings showing which prop was for each pilot. Each X-wing model was built around a hollow core to hold parts for effects such as lighting.
Besides the models, the crew made one full-size X-wing for scenes in the Rebels' Yavin IV base hangar; they used editing and cardboard cut outs to make it seem as if there are dozens of fighters. The crew also made a full-size X-wing cockpit that was used for all actors; the astromech droid behind each actor was changed for each starfighter.Regards Markwarren (Mark) Admin
