Cheers guys. Much appreciated.
Here are my pics from tonight. I have finished one side with only 4 planks to go on the other. So Sanded this side and like the outcome. I tried the plastic nose up to the front to see how thin to sand the so there is minimal sanding on the second layer.
Thanks.

Hi Chris.
Great to see you back on the case.
I am also doing the hood and upto stage 76.
Your planking looks fantastic but then what would you expect from a craftsman like yourself.
Very best regards.

Cheers Guys,
Here Is the latest set of pics, The first set are of the prow of the ship, I have been looking at various builds and cannot find any decent pics of this area. Even the instructions are not very informative in this area. I decided I would change the way it done to suit me and to get it to look more like the actual ship.

In pic 1 you can see the peice to be insalled and my mod on the rear of it.

In pic 2, I have arowed the faults. the pic in the left if you look at the front you will se the indented are on the nose stops just before he point. but if you look at the actual prow it follows round the front to the other side. Also pic 2 with arrow, the indentation is way exaggerated also doesnt taper like this one. So i am going to shrink the indent by half a mill nearer to scale.
Thanks Chris

Here a few more pics,
I have also fitted the from panel from ply ith a few modifications to make it the correct thickness. The scale thickness before was 40cm deep cutout, but looking at my books it is no where near that deep. I will have made mine scale thickness of 10cm/.5mm when it gets its final layer of planks in the recess..
