Hi Ken I see you are keeping very busy with your cutty Sark and your new dr1 which i can see on your workbench. Good to see that cutty sark being worked on. I bet there are loads of these kits that get started and thrown away which is a real shame. Hope all continues well for you. Tony Happy Modelling

Hi all, sooo close Shaping the planks to fit the ever narrowing spaces (scharf joints I think their called ) is a very slow job (and each one is a different shape) but it is surprisingly satisfying when they finally fit. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Hi Ken, As a self declared non wooden ship builder, you have have made some amazing progress on a kit that needed remedial work first to get it back on track. I take my cap off to you sir for an outstanding effort to date and wish you all the best for the ongoing build. WTG Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Thanks guys. Finally finished the planking of the hull, luckily the top half is black so I can hide the bad bits under the paint, I'm really pleased with the bottom half though which is good since I will just be varnishing that and leaving the wood to show. I must admit its turned out far better than I hoped it would. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Looking good Ken. That is going to be quite a sizeable model when complete. Your black layer has gone down nice and even. You did a good job recovering that hull and now have the enjoyment of all the fine details to add. Hope it continues well. Tony Happy Modelling
