So working in the frames has hit a bump in the build. These are the Walnut piece of wood to be used, I've already started using some as in the darker shade.. So the 8mm wide top, !0mm wide middle and the 12mm wide bottom. As you can see theres quite a difference in the colour, looks like the tree had a midlife crises and decided to change colour. So at the moment this is on hold, I've ordered some piece from a shop of 8mm and 10mm wide in 1m lengths 2 of each so I'm hoping I can better match what I've already used. Why the manufacture allowed this is ridicules, I tested 2 of the bits and one vanished there is a big difference in shade/colour. The color difference is due to some being sapwood (light) versus the heartwood (dark) If you can find them there, get some Transtint Dyes. They can be used with both Denatured Alcohol, or water. I use them for my wooden canoe restorations. The advantage is that you can layer on colors, and build them up until everything is uniform.

Thanks for the info, colour change yes I understand thats why I called it a mid life crises I had a look at the stuff you said about it seams very expensive, the replacement wood only cost me £8 My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

So the replacement wood arrived so I could finish the window and door frames. I love the instructions for this part, it tells you to leave at least 1mm protruding on the outer face of the model. So what is it 1mm, 1.5mm 0.5mm just put 1mm . I did this my using a piece of 1mm brass tubing as a sanding level. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

So the next stage is to add the outer edging, I curved mine before adding to the model to make it a bit easier. These where steamed and then put in a simple jig. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

The first side went on really good, but the second side had a couple of issues. Snapped. So I had to repair it. And again with the next piece. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

Heres the latest update. Side detail added. The instructions don't give you much information about this section, so I added some small cross pieces and then sanded in a curve top edge. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -
