Agree Roy the idea of the optics was a great idea, but in reality it isn't really going to work I brought some 0.5 and .07 optic's to see how I could run them in but having 40 optic cables running under the roof and 1 or possibly 2 LED's sitting under the roof just didn't look right and wasn't practical. So I've reverted back to the small LED's instead which I think will look about right if they run around 3v. So I've brought some more to allow me to have all 40 little lights running and I also brought some coloured once incase I desired to have different colours but Derbyvet has informed me that having different coloured ones will not work as some might burn out before other turn on. (why oh why is it so hard I hate electrics ) Anyway back to what we are trying to do Derbyvet just said to paint the clear version which makes sense at least I can see what the clear ones look like and if so I could change there colour. These are what I brought colour wise. Pink. Red. Blue. Green. These are meant to be running on 3 LR44 batteries which are 1.5v but I've removed one and so they are running on 3v so there not as bright. Well as I can't use these I might as well go and drink some more whisky then pop these inside and have a little disco My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

That's looking very nice indeed Ian. I was at a local 'Festival of Transport' over the weekend where they had several real steam traction engines and a few very nice working models too. Yours looks just as nice as some of those I saw at the show, albeit as a plastic kit and on a much smaller scale, but equally as nice!
Well done, that's a very cool model. Keep posting those updates!

So now the bad news, I was doing some of this during the week after work when the worst thing could have happened. It fell of the bench I believe I found all the parts and the pieces that snapped off, but I've not gone back in there since so not really sure what I'll be doing with it. Hi Ken, I've managed to get the old girl back together it was a pain as some of the parts wouldn't go back correctly so I had to remove more before I could rebuild but I got there in the end. I've left the stack off at the moment so I can realign it once the canopy is in place. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

It's looking like a really good save. I had exactly the same thing happen to this very model about 30 years ago. At that time, my thoughts on a rebuild didn't exist. Mine hit the bin... Keep going, it's looking great.

The front wheels are done, these took me a while with all the decals I've added. As you can see I laid the green strips in sections, these are 0.25 wide Now all I've got to do is the same to the rear wheels My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -
