You do have to wonder why it is such a problem How were they available to Japan again? As a subscription gift or to buy through website?

They had to collect a token from each issue and when they finished the sub they sent them off in return for the tires. Building the McLaren MP4-23

By the way, One thing to maybe think about is Amalgam, they may have exclusive rights in the UK for certain parts of the cars. I did contact them, and they offered me a set for £200 + VAT. As some of you may know you can buy any of the models off Amalgam as a kit at 75% of the ready built, so I asked if I could buy single parts. Building the McLaren MP4-23

What is everyone intending on doing with these wet tyres if we ever got them, would they go on the model or be put on display with the car like the jappanese did in the display case. I would think in some display cases that people have brought already there wouldnt be much room anyway for them to go in the case.
I think we do just need to forget about these though really cause it just inst going to happen is it.

Personally I will be displaying the finished model with the inters on. Then I intend on making some tyre warmers and displaying a set of hard and soft compound tires with one set in the warmers. I can't force anyone to buy them off me, that's not my motive behind the tires, but I appreciate your opinion. The will be going on eBay tomorrow evening. Will post the link. The tyres look good, but IF you manage to aquire another set to auction who knows what your reserve would be, they are not going to be cheap and then another set of hubs are needed,'cos tyres in a pit lane without hubs are about much use as......... I do wish you luck with this venture.
