Hi would like to say hello & introduce myself, My name is mike and I am 62 having just retired through ill health and needing something to keep my hands busy I found panarts HMS Victory for sale on preloved, I have to say I have really enjoyed building although I would have benefited from a forum like this one for advice, I have subscribed to sovereign of the seas and am looking forward to the build, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Regards Mike

Greetings and Salutations,

I'd built many an Airfix kit in my miss-spent youth and went into engineering, now, with a spinal injury (fortunately late in life), I had been left with little to do other than browse the web, Bored I had, from time to time, thought about "doing a Model" but missed the Victory, when SOTS came out, I thought I'd get the first issue "just to have a look at the quality". I was impressed, subscibed and later saw that Victory was still available, Drool showed my wife, and have now subscribed to Victory as well. Love

This has been an absolute godsend and has given me a new lease on life BigGrin

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum & good luck with your builds. You will find that there are quite a few of us less able bodies around both young & not so young,I find that modelling keeps my mind active & helps to keep my fingers working whilst the evil arthur does his best to stop them!
