 Hi All More progress made. The distributor ring has been added to the front and the oil pipes added to the rear ring of cylinders the front rocker boxes and valve stem covers will be added in one go like I did the rear set. Some chipping has occured around the engine but it looks quite realistic to my eye. The second wing is well on the way to construction im not painting this one as it will be skinned. The front fuselage is now being put together, the two halves joined and the various formers added as instructed, also the machine gun fired shells chute has been fixed after the machine guns had been added. Lastly the lower rear fuselage cover has been glued in place. Hi All Small update on pack 7, I have added the flap and aileron bulkheads to the wing. Hi All I have finished mounting the gas bottles , oil tank and various bars to the forward fuselage. The fuel tank was then made up and painted with aotake , one word of advice here the tanks are made of very thin aluminium and will not stand much in the way of tidying up with files ect so when glueing together the maximum in accuracy when lining the two sides up saves a lot of fettling with a delicate piece of metal later. Finally the instrument panel was painted up and the dials and lenses added. the painting is a little tricky in parts due to size and small gaps. Another change I made here was to the central dial , the printed dial was ready to be used but below it is a yellow strip which is also part of the instrument but this is not pre cut, I cut this piece out and added it to the panel. If you look at the picks a red arrow and circle will tell all. Lastly on the clear plastic parts that are left over for future use the reflector sight [ circled red] was broken so I have ordered a replacement. This concludes pack 7. Hi All The three lights have been added to the wing as has the fuel tank the light to the instrament panel has also been added. Hi All some more progress, The oil pipes have now been added to the second set of cylinders. More ribs made up with there bracing struts. The instrument panel has been fixed in position as have the fuel/air mixture lever, pitch control lever and the undercarriage lever. Hi All Finished making up the oleo leg and fitted the mounting/pivot block to the wing lastly the wing machine gun was mounted in position in the wing.
