Hello All, Thank you guys for the nice comments, much appreciated. Today I made some enhancements on the dioramas: - As I have no leftover from the other kits, I turned some buckets and barrels from 6 and 8mm dowels. - They were stained, black bands painted, handles added to buckets - Gun shots piled up in a temporary frame and spray painted - Frames made from 1.5x1.5mm strip and stained dark oak - All the parts fitted around the deck sections. I know that the gun shots probably weren't piled up like this but I hope you all forgive me for this little inaccuracy to make me able to place shots on the dioramas. gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! Hello Shipmates, I've been quiet since a while now. But here I am again... After a long but well-worthy wait the last of the figurines, marines, officers and the top3 men has been completed and 'shining' in their full glory. I will do another deck section to line them up in the display cabinet alongside with the gun deck dioramas. gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! Hello Shipmates, Back to the diorama building. Three more figurines were placed onto the existing dioramas, one of the officers guiding the gun crew, one shipmen with the barrel and one looking out the gunport. I couldn't think of a fairly simple diorama where I would be able to place Nelson, the other officers and the marines in a meaningful situation, hence I decided simply just to line them up on another deck section. Deck section made, planked, stained and painted Victory style. This section is not meant to be any particular part of the ship, just a straight planked area. All the remaining figurines glued in place, Admiral Nelson in the middle, Captain Hardy on his right, Thomas Atkinson Ship’s Master on his left, surrounded by another officer and three marines. Then I realised that if I would just place these sections in the cabinet, they would be 'hidden' behind the ship's nameplate due to the size difference. There fore I'll make a raised display platform, similar what I have for the cross-section model. Also each small section will have their own nameplate, yet to be designed and get them made. gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! Laszlo That is some very nice painting on such tiny figures. Your little dioramas look really expertly made, from the decking to the figure painting and layout. Really nice to see some unusual like this. Tony Happy Modelling

Looks great - good food for thought for finishing my model. I noticed the cross section is a different scale - what is the reason for this? Regards Roeland

Regards Roeland Hi Roeland, The cross-section has different scale because that’s how it was sold by DeAgostini. Also the slightly larger scale helps to show and able to add details to the inside.
