Walter,
I just found your build diary. Incredible work so far. I'm just at the poop deck stage of my own build, so about 1/2 way there. I hope you don't mind me stealing some of your ideas.
Regards, Brian

Thanks guys!
Only question is - why did i use light thread and then paint it black - instead of using black thread in the first place?
Just came up when looking at my pics !
Well next time ....Greetings, Walter

Hi Walter, Nice work as usual. I can see that you used my hint to make the foot ropes from thread instead of the supplier wire. I like that the booms partially painted yellow. Happy building! Laszlo Finished builds: HMS Victory, HMS Victory Cross-Section

No model build is/or ever should be a race to complete. You spend as much time as you have available and work at a pace you are comfortable with. That said, your available time and effort put into this build is showing results and impressive results at that. WTG Keep up the good work. I agree with Derek. Speed may mean you get it done quicker but doesn't mean it was done to its best (Doesn't mean that the quicker builders do a bad job). Take your time and you will reep the rewards.
Your doing great job. Chris
On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Whoa Walter, its not a race to completion its a journey to savour.... The progress on your build is nothing short of beautiful and that is simply because you have given a great deal of time and attention to produce the results we can all see now. Don't rush it now, continue as you are doing and the final product will be something you and many others will admire for years to come.... Fab work and long may it continue..... Regards Alan
