I thought that there might be problems with the diff when I saw what we had to do. Grease gets flung off the components and it will not run down into the gears again. I assembled the diff according to the instructions in the books and you can see how it turned out. I will strip the diff down and clean all the parts with thinners, except the "O" rings. Hi guys, from a cold and wet Swellendam. I cleaned all the grease from the diff and started assembling it. I coated the the inside of the 'O' rings with some rubber grease and then pushed in the axles. The rubber grease stops wear on the seals. The gears were put in and then I filled the diff to about 3/4 with Hudy silicon oil, the same as what I am using on the rear diff of my buggy. Hi all, getting grief with this tin brain. I cleaned the diff housing using an earbud and some thinners. I then coated the mating surfaces with some black car sealant. Use what ever sealer that you have. The silicone oil is thick and will not seep out. I think that I might do something similar with the diff housing. Let me think about this. At least I know that my diff is always running in lubrication. It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop

Thanks for all the positive comments from you guys. I had the car car running and did my break-in process and I was not happy with the play so I am doing my own thing. You are welcome to shoot me down on what I am doing. Comments are always welcome. That is what makes us better modelers. I am now doing the "gearbox" and some silicone oil has been put in. My reasoning is that the oil will stick to the gears and settle back, unlike grease that is flung off and stays off. I will be sealing it as per the diff. I will be posting more pictures. Ok, the diff and gearbox have their oil and are sealed the way I want them. I filled the gearbox casing to about 1/2 with Hudy 7000 silicone oil. This should be enough to keep the 2 gears constantly lubricated. The guys that are seriously into racing will use a thinner oil because what I use is for my buggy and is thick which equals drag and loss of speed. I have screwed the rear suspension together and am waiting for the sealer to dry. Then it will be time to do the other balls for the upper swing arms. I have been a bit busy this afternoon. I removed the upper suspension arm balls and gave them a light coating of glue as per the previous lot. To remove the balls from the suspension arms I did this. Tape the point of a Phillips screw driver to stop damage. Put a cloth over the parts, this is to stop the screw driver going through your hand, give a sharp push and out it comes. I put the balls on kebab sticks and gave them a thin coat of glue. The glue dries even thinner than the coat that you gave it and seems to settle evenly. All the wheels are back on, rear suspension with no slop is done and the racing wing is also on. A question. I have posted pictures but I cannot view them. Any ideas on what this tin brain is doing? After contemplating my navel through the bottom of a brown bottle with amber liquid in it, I had some thoughts. Swop the .21 motor with the .28 in my buggy. That will be one fast RB7. Hi folks, I must get the thinking cap on. Why did Kyosho put the on/off switch underneath the chassis? I know that I ran the car like that when I was doing the engine break-in. I mean, come on, put it in a place less vulnerable. We do not all have 100% flat surfaces. I will look and see where to locate it. It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop
