The frame is a fantastic bit of engineering and feels like where all the weight will be

Could be cool to just have the MF frame hanging on the wall, or positioned over the blueprint hanging on the way. Course, thats a lot of funds for just the framework. The Naked Falcon. The floor looks really sweet with the rust colors and other weathering effects. You my friend have WAY too much time your hands :) --Imp Current Build: Millennium FalconWish List: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S, Red Bull Racing RB7

Issues 22 - 25 arrived today with lots more frame parts. I have kind of neglected this for a while but will soon start to prime and pre shade all the panels I have, other things just keep getting in the way. So just build the frame up for now, its really looking impressive, also decided to get more organised as everything was a bit chaotic. On the shelves from the bottom up are; 1:8 Nissan Skyline, DeAgostini Lamborghini, 1:16 Tiger Tank, (Left) Santisima Trinidad, (Right) Millennium Falcon

Outstanding. Your detail work is a marvel to behold. What size corrugated sheet did you use for the flooring?

Your hold deck solution is brilliant, I wanted to improve mine but could not justify the cost of £60 for the cheapest third party part (inc the stupid postage costs). Now I am going to shamelessly copy yours, thanks!

Thanks for the kind words Zanussi, it didn't come out perfect but I am more than happy with it and am chuffed to bits that others like it enough to copy. I have no issues at all with anyone copying it When you come to add the extra groves on the grated styrene sheet just use the edge of a needle file and a steel ruler

I really love the floor work you did in the lounge. I think I may attempt something similar when the time comes to work on that area.

Looking great Davetwin! Your modifications to the hold are excellent. You ask if you'd gone too far, and my first reaction was that there was A LOT going on there, but then as you started adding pieces to it, it all came together. Thanks for positing a picture of the paints you used too. If I ever decide to go back and do more "dirtying" it will be a nice reference. Coming along nicely Dave I'm still worried where I'm going to put mine! Lol I might look at a completely different armature so it can be put in many different positions. Keep it up mate! Spence

Davetwin I have a question for you. I have seen that you placed the greebles on the exterior of the cockpit arm. In what issue do you see where to place each greeble? I have issues 1-8 and don't see where each one goes. Does that come later or do you just find a reference from an image. Yours looks great and i wondered how you knew where each one went. Thanks Impatience, thats very kind of you to say, I still consider myself a beginner after only starting modelling last April but with anything its just a case of taking your time and not being afraid to try

Chewbacca Thanks for your comments Chewie, fear not the placement of the greebles are covered in issue 9

Now that I have my spray booth all setup I decided to push the Santisima Trinidad aside and start spraying the internal corridor parts for the Falcon, first job was to build the underside inspection pit. All parts have been sprayed with Vallejo black primer, I will either leave this is the base coat and highlight with a light dusting of aluminium on the walkways or perhaps add a german panzer grey and then dust with aluminium. This gives an idea of the size of the spray booth I have got. Also a close up of the inspection pit for those across the pond that havent got this far yet.

After a very long day chairing a pre pre delivery meeting for one of the largest engineering jobs in my career and one of the largest single engineering jobs in the companys history I thought the best way to unwind was to get a bit of spraying down in what little time I had to spend on it today. I finished spraying the internal corridors. I then cut off all these pads, filed and arranged ready for spraying. For our builders on the other side of the pond there are 144 of those small pads for your to look forward too, oh what fun you will have . The last picture shows the ones still to cut and spray. Unfortunately I lost one of my pads If anyone has a spare one they want to off load I will happily give it a home So pads all sprayed up with Tamiya Tan, tomorrow I will give them a highlight with 2 other colours I realise that black is generally considered to dark on scale models my thinking was that when all the highlighted pads and cushions are added it will brighten it up somewhat and not look too bad Although is still time for me to spray it German grey
