Thanks Martyn and Alan. Well today I had a go at putting the asks over the yellow to spray the green, the only problem was the masks didnt seem to match up with the yellow already laid down So I took my 16 year old step daughters advice and went freehand "as it would look more natural" So I dialled down the pressure and went gave it a shot, I'm quite impressed with the results. There is overspray in the yellow but after checking my reference photos I noticed that it also had quite a lot of overspray. Im thinking that I should have done the black first so that the green softens the edges of that too, Although I dont think I will use the black the painting guide recommends as the reference pictures shows its more of a bluey black perhaps Nato Black??. I will have to have a look what I have. Comments good or bad welcome, its my first camouflage scheme so if it doesnt look right then I need to know Also any recommendations for filter colour greatly appreciated

Thanks Andy, thats a few shades of black I think I am going to go with the Nato Black. Here is the turret done, this was done completely freehand. I learned something new here after doing the green first, that the Mr Colour Yellow I used doesnt spray as well in a fine spray so once I have done the black I will go over the turret again with the green to tidy the edges. The barrel still needs green adding too.

Martyn Ingram wrote: Looking good Dave lovely job Rgd Martyn Thanks Martyn I have now 'blackened' the tracks using Ultimate Burnishing liquid, must say I am rather impressed with how they have turned out, even have rusty bits that make them look like they have been weathered a little. Very glad I took the advise and got some Fruil tracks I have also started to assemble them, its a slow process but nothing too difficult just fiddly. when I researched online how to assemble them it seemed that they always had a hole on one side for the pin to go through, these have a hole of both sides to stick the pin, this will take some thinking on how to get them connected when putting on the tank, hopefully as the pins are small shouldn't be too difficult. Once the tracks are assembled I will also need to paint over the copper pins with a suitable colour as they are quite noticeable at the moment Pictures with and without flash

Due to working nights its taken a while to finish assembling the tracks but one side is now complete and the other side almost done too I still need to sand down the pins and paint the copper to blend in. The tanks has had its gloss coat added as well as the decals followed by another gloss coat to seal them in. I used Micro set and Micro sol to get the decals to conform to the rivet around the outside of the armour plate, those Trumpeter decals are tough things mind as it took several applications of the micro sol to get them to conform. As you can see the tracks are just dry fitted, hence the pins, I needed to make sure I had the correct length Not much else I can do now until my filter and weathering washes arrive.

Thanks Andy, Nemesis & Trev Tonight I started to have a play with the weathering washes that were delivered to my neighbour and only dropped round to me early this evening. No pictures yet, will wait until I get them on the model, they do seem very nice to use and I have a very rusted looking piece of plastic now that is also covered in a light dusting of mud . I've realised how much there is to do, still waiting on the filter I order, will probably make my next time.
