Main deck is now planked. steamed through it once I was in a rhythm took a day and a half.

My first bulkhead has been installed, you will note I have chosen to paint mine French Blue in line with the finish I have chosen, rather than the DeAg Kit suggestion.

I used the two section of beam that are cut away from the main deck as two of the 30mm sections used as lower deck strengtheners. other scrap from cutting the beams to length were used for the other two. I always try and be as economical as I can with the timber and general as much spare as possible.

The forecastle deck has now been installed also, along with the next rib at the stern.

The starboard bow formers have been installed too.

Thats it for now hope have another update soon.

Hi jase
How thick are the planks that you are using ?

Hi Gibbo, the planks are 0.5.

J

Thanks for that Jase, the planks on My Vic are going to be 1mm thick and going to be sanded down to around 1/2mm so i play around with that thread caulking and see what happens.

The remaining three bulkheads have now been built as per the instructions and then painted french blue. The next three beams and bulkhead A have now been installed.

The two doors to be fitted to the forward bulkhead were primed with mr metal primer before being painted in line with my chosen paint theme. The look good once installed.
