Hi thanks to all that looked in and left comments much appreciated. Bit more progress on this though it bin painting and more painting. Got one girder painted up.other still under contruction. Could not resist a trial assembly. Which through up a slight problem, the main beams have a slight outward curve to them. So the joiners at the end have a gap between them.easily sorted with bit of plasticard. The central portion is strait.which is were the rest assembly attaches, so this should give no further problems. Had to fiddle with the locations to get them on the trucks.but all on now. I'm going to dio this back at the works for essential maintenance. Hence the small card factory. Got the warehouse to. Plus few other Lil bits for dio. All in all it going well.endless painting though doh. Cheers and happy moddeling mick. BigGrin

Some nice work there Mick, the painting and weathering is looking very realistic too. Will you be adding a shiny steel look to the top of the rails and the edges of the bogey wheels to show wear?

Well done, looking good. ThumpUp

Hi kev, thanks for looking in the tyres on the wheels are done. Probably don't show to we'll in pics.the base rail tops will be done. Only just finished the 896 rail clips. Next stage is to rust weather the rails further. And the sleepers need bit more weathering yet.ill probably not make the tops of the rails to shiny, as these will be in works rails.and not subject to the wear main line rails would get.cheers mick. Hi thanks to everyone who looked in and left comments, much appreciated. Took Lil break from painting and built the barrel up. It measures 632 mm in length. The Lil fella gives idea of scale of this thing. The weights added are part the kit to counterbalance the barrel. Cheers mick. BigGrin

Your painting over such a large area is wonderful. Not an easy thing to pull off at all.

Hope it continues to go well.
Happy Modelling
