Good morning to all.

Thought I'd pop in and update-well no progress
made at all since last post due to work
commitments but I am hoping to get back
to it this week at some point.
I'll post some more pictures once the decks
are painted.

Regards to all
Alan

Hello all
Well disaster at the 11th hour, removing the masking
tape the residue was stuck fast to the hull, so spent over
an hour removing this and rubbing down the whole of the
the underside of the hull.
Fortunately after a respray it's all looking good!

After my attempts at trying to simulate the joins
in the deck planks, and there were many, I have opted
for the aftermarket decks from Artwox. I am awaiting
delivery of these from the US as I couldn't find any
in the U.K.

Once I've completed painting the upper part of the
hull I will post some more photos.

One re-sprayed hull. There are a few minor blemishes
but looking around at other ships these will be acceptable.

I've placed the upper decks in position just to see what it's going to look like

Thanks for looking in.

Regards.
Alan

Its a shame you had to go through all that extra work because of the residue left behind, the finished result looks good though. With regards to the slight blemishes, I'm pretty sure that even real life ships have blemishes in their paintwork BigGrin Cool

First wooden deck installed.

Quite easy to fit and very smart looking
I think.

Very nice work Alan, love the paintwork.

Thanks everyone.

The decks have had a huge impact
on the visual quality of this model.

I find the engineering of the wooden
decks incredible.

I cannot wait to see the Hood
complete but I won't be rushing!

More photos soon.

Regards to all
Alan
