Thanks Gil, I have a needle threader that I used when stringing the hammocks but I didn't think it would work on the blocks as the holes were really narrow. I'll give it a try one the next set of blocks.

Needle threaders are a godsend, I use them for most of my rigging requirements, including the rigging blocks and they work a treat. Its a tool I wouldn't be without.... Regards Alan

Time for another update. Mast and collarThe mast was glued in place and the first collar added. The collar needed a lot of trimming to avoid the feet of the pumps. michael.rolph attached the following image(s):

That is a very nice model you are putting together. Just looking at all the detail and you really get a sense of how terrible life on board must of been although i guess that is in our modern eyes. Have read that life on board was considered better than life on land. Your build is turning out very well. Happy Modelling

Looking great Micheal, I enjoyed building this one, it seems to take an age to do but well worth it in the end. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.
