Ok so i have mocked it up on the wing to give you an idea of size and yep its big from tip to tip she's about 18" don't even want to think where its gonna go. The tube slots work perfect so big sigh of relief next issue its going to take some base to keep this sucker upright, next big issue to resolve to create the effect I want. I decided to use black milliput for the veins on the wing tips so there is built in shadow if needed, just one piece of advice about using black milliput DON'T its a nightmare this better work. godan61 attached the following image(s):

May be big but it also looks incredibly fragile and easily broken, take it you will be placing the completed build in a display case.... Stunning work.... Regards Alan

Ok so before I can go any further I need a base, something heavy enough that it will balance the height of it. What to do?????/ So my solution is get a rock a big rock and make it look like part of the floating mountains and after a few days I found the right one, but how to secure it. I drilled 2 holes n the rock and inserted 2 tubes for the leg pins. Using a disc cutter I cut the bottom off the stone and then inset it in an MDF plinth then fixing it with a couple of screws and some grip fill. And presto a base heavy enough to take its weight, later I will paint it add detail at the base and mount it on a plinth. godan61 attached the following image(s):
