Hi All

Work is progressing on the hull upper works now and im starting to knock a hole in the etch parts all be it slowly. The rear castle has had a good deal of etch fixed in place and a start made on the front castle.

The main deck itself has had various ventilators fitted along with bollards, capstans and various other metal parts. The resin anchor chain rings which are missing from the kit have also been added to the two bow side anchors. The central bow anchor will not be fitted as she did not carry this anchor on her final voyage.

A few deck detail pics of more added etch, the bow has a better pic of the anchor chain loops and added etch. Moving back slightly more etch has been added to the bow wave breaker. You can also see the 1st of the uprights fitted here and yes it needs a paint touch up in places. To give an Idea of part size the forward uprights/retainers are about 1.5 mm tall.

The other pics show the brass bollards fitted along with the cable runners for the para-vanes. At the stern more grills and vents along with the stern anchor chain.

Love those wooden aftermarket decks, they are a vast improvement on the plastic kit decks, and I can't believe how fine those PE railings are around the pair of downward steps between the two front main guns - you did well to get them fixed in place and nicely square! Blink
