If this problem is going to start costing DeAg much in the way of money, I hope they don't just 'Pull the plug' on it.
Partworks have been known to suddenly stop all too often.

As an aside:
ADMIN - if you are reading - please can you change the music on your customer services line.
I've listened to 'The Blue Danube' a dozen times in the past few days before getting cut off.
At least give us a bit of variety whilst we are waiting to hear the inevitable recorded voice telling us the call is going to be terminated.
Roy.

I,ve also spent 15 min's trying to call the centre to be cut off, total sham, this will the last time I buy from this company. Ive also just brought some lacquer and tried it on some spare wings parts i have, the finish its totally different to the rest of the model it. So you would have to paint the entire model to get the same, this is not a fix at all ... Mad Mad Mad

This topic has started to go off in different directions and doesn't really help us, but I do appreciate peoples concerns...believe me.

It would be easier for Deag to come back with an answer to one topic than several of the same.

I can only see one solution to this, for Deag to send those that have built these parts up to AUTOMATICALLY be sent replacements for the front and rear. Not sure how many in the UK have started building this model but looking at the 10,000 plus that have viewed the first of Tomick's build there will be some that have not even started but...if there are 10,000 of us trying to make a call to Deag then the lines will be clogged.
There is also the possibility of some that just want the spares so my suggestion is...we send Deag photo proof of built parts and they send the replacements. I cannot walk into a shop and say replace this thankyou so much, so this may be a route to go that is genuine.

I too think that the laquer should be supplied as part of the kit.

I look forward to a reply from either Deag ( admin ) or Tomick.

BTW...if these parts can be supplied and confirmed as such then I will be able to resume my build.

I totally agree with your comments, EXCEPT for the part about photo-proof of build.
I'm the first to admit I haven't started my build yet, but it doesn't alter the fact this is DeAg's problem, NOT mine.
If I can get the spare parts, I'm entitled to them the same as anyone else, if only to 'experiment' my alternatives.
As I've already mentioned elsewhere, to get a GOOD fix 'might' mean re-painting all the red parts myself.
As to requests being 'genuine', surely anyone who has bought the parts so far is 'genuine' - built up or not.
I don't see why I should risk my original parts on a DIY fix that has been dumped on me by DeAg.
Roy.

I finally got through. Took 4 attempts of being cut off. Advised of the problem and they are sending me replacements 2-4 weeks dependant of availability. Once i've received these i'll prob break up the original and have a trial run on them with a couple of different laquers to see which works best!
I still think front and rear wing should be replaced with pre-laquered parts.
But hey, I'll give it a go.

Well, i've told them the rear wing has the same issue as well, so fingers crossed they replace front and rear but only time will tell.
But again, they had no idea there was a known issue

Got through a few minutes ago and the assistant seemed to know all about it.
Front wing parts on the way at no cost.
Hopefully when they get to grips with the rear wing issues, it will be treated the same.
I have to say customer service was very helpful and friendly, so definitely no complaints there.
In fact, the real moans ought to be directed at Kyosho, the makers of the kit.

Im gutted about all this because I have already placed Johnnie walker logos on my rear wing and I don't have any more.

None of the reds on any of these parts totally match the Mclaren Red but I do remember thinking when I started the build why are the wing components not glossy.

I am concerned with calling customer services and requesting new parts that I then suddenly get charged for them because of their reply of "I don't understand".Confused

Isn't acceptance of replacement from a company deemed as case closed ? ( front only )

thanx for sheding a tiny light on the subject and we are finally getting somewhere however it is both front and rear wing parts so the people who have subscribed to this build should have the correct parts resent automaticaly and those who use the newsagent should get there newsagent to reorder for them FoC (free of charge) and they should all be pre lacquered as my 8 year old son is not allowed to use aerosols nor am i any good at spraying and in the advertisments for this build it said all parts come prepainted plus why has this not happened to the jappanise build if it did then why was this problem not addressed before it started in this country
